Paver Patios and Walkways

Paver patios and walkways provide structure and direction to visitors, a safe walking surface to the entry points of the home and giving a sense of permanence to even the newest landscapes. If it’s time for a new patio or walkway at your home, you’ve come to the right place! Groundhog Landscaping has been installing patios and walkways with concrete pavers in virtually every color and pattern imaginable for over 25 years.

Paver patios and walkways are better by design.

A well-thought-out patio design provides ample space for social gatherings. Although patio entertaining in New Hampshire is a short season, it can be extended well into cooler weather by adding an outdoor firepit or portable patio heater. The shorter days can be extended by installing low voltage landscape lighting strategically throughout the patio.

Paver patios and walkways are only as good as what’s underneath them.

Brick paver patios and walkways are very popular in New England – not only because of the colonial influence on homes here, but also because it is a segmented paving system.

Freeze-thaw cycles do a number on an impervious pavement like poured concrete or asphalt. Paving bricks allow for a little shifting without affecting the integrity of the surface. You might say concrete pavers are “pre-cracked pavement.” To minimize the movement of walkway or patio pavers, however, the base must be built with the correct sand and gravels. We install our walkways and patios onto base materials that we make in our gravel processing operations.

Do you want a driveway paver…or paver driveway?

Does your driveway need to be re-paved? You could hire a driveway paver to lay down some asphalt, but nothing says “elegance” like a concrete paver driveway! At Groundhog Landscaping, we have all the heavy construction equipment that a driveway paving company has, but our construction team will take our time and meticulously install a paver driveway for you that is a work of art. We will select the best quality paving stones for your driveway and install them with a solid base that will stand up to the worst New Hampshire winter!
